Fusion Beauty
Since opening in October 2005, Fusion Beauty has made steady progress and can be considered a successful start-up business. But, as with any business it’s not all plain sailing as proprietor, Ethlyne Lennon explains,
“The planning stage of Fusion Beauty was very exciting, but there is no real risk at that stage. Once the lease is signed and equipment is being bought, that’s when you start to worry if you’ve made a mistake.”
Writing an accurate business plan is an important part of starting your own business, but regardless of how much effort you put into it, there are often hidden costs and expenditure that you haven’t accounted for. Ethlyne approached Rick in November last year for support and advice with regards to promoting her new business effectively. She had concerns that some of the initial building costs had exceeded estimates and were having a negative impact on her cash flow.
Following initial discussions and a number of planning meetings, Ethlyne is once again confident in the future of Fusion Beauty and is about to embark on a new promotional campaign.
Rick commented “When you start up on your own, it can get quite lonely and sometimes just speaking to someone who hasn’t got any personal connections to your business can help greatly. Ethlyne has started an excellent small business and has realistic expectations for the future.”
